CARPOOL

Easy to print

A car and driver alone produce 32 kilograms of carbon monoxide per 100 kilometers. When you are more than one person in a car, you reduce the emission of carbon monoxyde by the same proportion. Carpooling is also a smart way to save money!

  Substantial benefits

Carpooling has many advantages:
  • You share your fuel and parking costs, resulting in significant savings.

  • You prolong the life of your car and free it for use by other family members, so you don’t have to buy a second car.

  • You no longer have to travel alone. Rides seem quicker when you’re in good company.

  • You maintain your present level of comfort without radically altering your habits.

  • If you don’t have a car, you can always sign up for a carpool as a passenger. It’s flexible: you can carpool as often and for as long as you wish. It is all up to you.

  Find a road partner

Covoiturage AMT, the new online carpooling website of the Agence métropolitaine des transports (AMT), can find you a road partnertocommute from your home to your work site, to a park-and-ride lot, or for an occasional commute.

The service is safe, free and offered all across Quebec.

How to register:
    1. Go online to COVOITURAGE AMT.

    2. Register as a new user. If your place of work or institution is a registered member on the system and you are using your professional email, you’ll be automatically redirected to the carpooling page of your place of work or institution.

    3. Fill out your carpooling profile and use the “Assistance au jumelage” button to find potential road partners.
